Our story
ETNA CORI ESTATE is an international choral music festival born in the summer of 2004, on the idea of Maestro Giandomenico Dinaccio. Under his artistic direction, the festival has achieved international visibility.
The aim of the festival is to gather, in the city of Ragalna, "Terrazza dell'Etna", increasingly competitive choral groups from both Italy and abroad.
Choral groups from Malta, Greece, Japan, and from all over the country have met over the years on the occasion of the Ra. Co. Es., transforming it into a tourist and cultural event of the utmost importance for the entire city.
Since 2017, the artistic direction has been curated by the Associazione Culturale Musicale Maris Stella, which organized the Ra. Co. Es. 2017, dedicating it entirely to the rediscovery and study of Sicilian choral folk and folk music.
Starting from 2019, the artistic direction (led by Maestro Lorenzo Di Guardo) names the festival "Etna Cori Estate" (which was previously called Ragalna Cori Estate), giving it an increasingly international visibility.
